Honestly, sci-fis lack so much diversity *shakes head*. I just have one teensy, tiny request, though- the M-Bands only measured chemistry between straight couples, but I think the author could have done so much better, especially since it takes place in the future. Learning about the M-Bands was so cool and the ratings between people definitely fascinated me, and as well, the plot was fast-moving and had me on the edge of my seat at all times! I believe that this was meant to be more of a plot-driven story, as shown very clearly by its atmosphere and events. Seriously, where are the characters that I can actually relate to? Are there even any anymore? Where have they all disappeared to, hello? And don’t even get me started on the side characters- as I write this review, I only finished this book a week ago, and I can barely even remember their traits.

Maggie was very strong and I was quite fond of her, but surprise, surprise! Unmemorable. It’s the characters paragraph, and I think you guys know what I’ll be saying- which is the same thing I’ve been saying about most protagonists lately. Thus, Maggie has a plan to try to get rid of these M-Bands- and she’ll do anything it takes. These M-Bands work to find out the chemistry between its owner and a potential partner, but the downside to them is that they can easily be used against you. To briefly synopsize this story, it revolves around a girl named Maggie, who lives in a society where it has become mandatory to get an M-Band once one turns 18. I love a good sci-fi story, and this book had amazing ratings, so I requested it at the library, only expecting good things.Īnd, for the most part, good things were what I got from this story! I absolutely loved the concept of this book- it completely hooked me, leaving me aching for more! Once I first found out about Disruption, I knew I needed it in my hands. In a world full of broken promises, the ones Maggie must keep could be the most heartbreaking. But as the pieces of her dangerous design fall into place, could Quentin’s involvement destroy everything she’s fought for?
