To obtain contact information for your local braille and talking-book library, visit Find Your Library or call 1-888-NLS-READ (1-88). Hard copies of braille books may be requested through the Braille-on-Demand pilot program. Talking books may also be requested from your local braille and talking-book library on cartridge if your library makes use of Duplication on Demand. The free BARD Mobile app, available for both iOS and Android operating systems, can be used to play books directly from your personal mobile device. To use BARD, contact your local braille and talking-book library or visit for more information. All books listed in Foreign Language Quarterly are available for immediate download from NLS BARD, the Braille and Audio Reading Download. Many of our foreign language books come to us from other countries via the Marrakesh Treaty (DBGs and BRGs), but you will also find books produced by NLS (DBs), produced by network libraries (DBCs) and converted from cassette tapes or CDs (DBFs). Anyone living in the United States, as well as US citizens living abroad, may qualify for service if they have a temporary or permanent visual or physical, perceptual, or reading disability that prevents them from using regular print materials. All books listed in this publication are free to eligible individuals. Foreign Language Quarterly is posted to the NLS website every three months. Welcome back to Foreign Language Quarterly, a way to keep up with the foreign language books that the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) is adding to its collection.
